Ms. Pelletier received her bachelor's degree in communications
in 1985 from the University of California at Los Angeles and
her law degree from the University of Southern California in
1991.
Ms. Pelletier has extensive experience
defending claims of police excessive force, due process violations,
First Amendment retaliation, and employment-related discrimination. She has particular
expertise in representing police and fire departments and officials
in employment discrimination actions. In addition, she
trains public and private employees and officials in the area
of employment-related harassment and discrimination, and has
tried a number of employment cases at both the trial court and
administrative level.
Ms. Pelletier is an active member,
and the Vice President, of the City Attorneys’ Association
of Los Angeles County. She
has contributed to the Los Angeles Daily Journal and the Rutter
Group, and is a frequent speaker at conferences and events. Ms.
Pelletier was honored as a Southern California “Super Lawyer” by
Los Angeles Magazine in 2005 and 2006.
